Plaza Globetrotter Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Plaza Globetrotter mobile application for iPhone and Apple Watch and related service interactions used to deliver its features. It does not replace the general privacy policy for the swaibian.com website.

Plaza Globetrotter is a private companion product for Plaza that lets signed-in users capture thoughts, tasks, and short chat-style inputs while away from the desktop and receive replies and delivery updates on mobile devices.

The controller responsible for processing personal data in connection with Plaza Globetrotter is swaibian UG (haftungsbeschraenkt), Scherrenstrasse 10, 70327 Stuttgart, Germany.

Depending on how you use the app, we may process authentication information, user-authored content, delivery and sync state, device registration data for notifications, and limited technical information required to operate the service securely and reliably.

This includes data such as your signed-in account association, text you submit as thoughts, tasks, or messages, reply and status events, push notification tokens, sync cursors, device registry information, and local session state stored on your devices.

We process data to authenticate you, receive and route your mobile submissions through Swaiboard Satellite and Plaza Desktop, deliver replies and status updates, keep your inbox and queue in sync across devices, and maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the service.

We may also process data to troubleshoot incidents, prevent abuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our terms and internal security requirements.

Where applicable under data protection law, we process data because it is necessary to provide the service you request, to perform steps connected with your use of the app, to protect legitimate interests such as service security and reliability, and to comply with legal obligations.

If a specific processing activity requires consent under applicable law, we will rely on consent for that activity.

Plaza Globetrotter currently reuses the existing Swaiboard identity flow based on GitHub OAuth for mobile sign-in. When you authenticate, authentication-related information is processed to sign you in and associate your actions with the correct Wodivity account.

GitHub and any other identity providers involved in that sign-in flow process data under their own terms and privacy policies. We recommend reviewing those policies separately.

If you enable notifications, we process device registration information and push notification tokens so we can deliver reply updates and delivery-state notifications to your iPhone and Apple Watch.

The app also stores limited local state on your devices, such as session tokens, queue state, sync cursors, and lightweight continuity data needed for the app to function.

Plaza Globetrotter is not designed to track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising purposes.

Based on the current product design, the app does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not collect app data for third-party marketing or cross-app tracking.

We may share data within the Wodivity and Swaibian service environment to operate Plaza Globetrotter, including Swaiboard Satellite, Plaza Desktop, Donna-related processing flows, hosting, notification delivery, and supporting infrastructure providers acting on our behalf.

We do not sell personal data. We may disclose information where necessary to comply with law, enforce rights, protect users or systems, or complete business or service operations through vetted service providers.

Depending on the services used to operate the product, your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain continuity features, support security and abuse prevention, resolve disputes, and comply with legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

Retention periods can vary by data type. Some data may also remain temporarily in backups, logs, and replicated systems for operational reasons.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we aim to limit access and handle data through controlled service paths.
